Use our rhyming dictionary with Microsoft Word Rhymer installs on the Add-Ins tab of Microsoft Word 2007 and the Tools Menu of Word 2003, 2002, 2000, 97, and Word 7.0. Click a button to insert rhyming words directly into your document. If you have a Macintosh or a different Windows word processor, you can still run the program by itself and copy and paste words into your document.
Instantly find words for six types of rhyming: End rhymes (blue/shoe) Words with end rhyme have the same ending sound, commonly a vowel sound followed by a consonant sound, as in airplane, campaign, train, and vein.
Last syllable rhymes (timber/harbor) Words with last syllable rhyme have the same sounds in the last syllable. For example, threw/breakthrough, humanity/zesty, and pleat/complete.
Double rhymes (conviction/prediction) Words with double rhyme have the same vowel sound and following consonant sounds in the second-to-last syllable, and the same sounds in the final syllables. For example, walking/talking, humming/coming, and navigator/waiter.
Triple rhymes (frightening/brightening) Words with triple rhyme have the same vowel sound and following consonant sounds in the third-to-last syllable, and the same sounds in the remaining syllables. For example, antelope/cantaloupe and greenery/scenery.
Beginning rhymes (physics/fizzle) Words with beginning rhyme have the same initial consonant sounds and the same first vowel sound, as in scenery/cedar.
First syllable rhymes (carrot/caring) Words with first syllable rhyme have the same sounds in the first syllable. For example, fairground/ferryboat.
